Boat Trip On Kazinga Channel

The boat trip along the serene waters of kazinga channel is a miracle of beauty that cannot be missed while on safari to Queen Elizabeth National park. I believe because of the abundance of wildlife along the shores, the birds and aquatic life blending together is one of the reasons the park is dubbed the medley of wonders. Kazinga channel is a 32km stretch that joins Lake Edward and Lake Edward on the western rift valley.

Boat rides along the channel are organized by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) and Mweya Safari lodge.  While the UWA boat rides are cheaper, they are also very congested with less chances of game viewing. The Mweya Safari boat rides are organized with the privacy and comfort of the visitors at the core giving you the perfect game safari along the Kazinga Channel. For budget travellers, boat rides can also be arranged from Katunguru, a major fishing village along the channel. This boat ride is cheaper but with fewer opportunities for game viewing.
