Rwenzori Mountain National Park

OVERVIEW

Supporting over 70 mammal species and 217 bird species whose biggest percentage are Albertine Rift Endemics, the 996squ.km Rwenzori Mountains National park is a world-class hiking and mountaineering destination.

This snowcapped mountain with the highest peak at 5,109m on Mt Stanley’s Margherita. This block of mountains was christened “the mountains of the moon” and can be hiked through either a 9day or 6day trail circuits. A day trip or even more day can be arranged for a Nature lover depending on one’s time and level of fitness.
