Safari Highlights
Arrival
After a very early breakfast, a representative of Big Apes Africa will pick you up at your hotel or any other place of residence and drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Upon arrival, you will be enlightened about your adventure with the mountain gorillas! We advise that you carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. For $15, you can get a porter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you are divided into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest, where you will spend one hour with these gentle giants. Rain gear is essential, considering that Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. After gorilla trekking, you will be transferred to Kabale or Kisoro, depending on your arrangement with your guide.
