It can start from Kabale /Lake Bunyonyi or Kisoro from your hotel and can only end there or within Bwindi. With Gorilla trekking as the highlight, you will have scenic drives in the countryside through vibrant village communities.

Today, you will be picked up from your hotel either in Kisoro or Kabale and embark on a journey to the remote, beautiful, and hilly southwestern Uganda. This short drive from Kabale or Kisoro is between one and a half to two and a half hours and is a rich experience for people who love driving through rolling hills. On this Gorilla Trekking safari as you go through the villages and gaze at locals, you will be shocked to learn that you are already at the lodge. Once at the lodge, you could opt for a community tour to learn about the local people’s way of life!

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the briefing point in the forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to get enlightened about your adventure with the mountain gorillas. You are advised to carry enough drinking water and a lunch box. For 15 US dollars, you can get a potter to carry your bag and give you a hand in slippery or steep parts of the forest. After the briefing, you are distributed into groups of eight and led by a park ranger into the forest where you will spend one hour with the gentle giants. Rain gear is important considering that Bwindi is a tropical rainforest. After gorilla trekking, you will be transferred to either Kabale or Kisoro depending on your arrangement with your guide.
