Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be welcomed our experienced driver guide who will take you through the itinerary and proceed for a tour in Kigali visiting the Kigali convention center with a unique architect that portrays the king’s palace in Nyanzi, Kigali genocide memorial where you will have an insight of what transpired during Rwanda’s colonization and her history.
Enjoy your lunch in the city proceeding to Volcanoes National Park which will take you 2 and a half hours arriving to check-in at a pre-arranged hotel for dinner and a night stay.
Wake-up in the early morning for your breakfast to meet your driver guide who will transfer you to the Park’s headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking dos and don’ts and gorilla family allocation. Immediately set off with a ranger guide into the forested slopes of volcanoes national park to start on the search of these habituated gentle giants.
During this adventure, a variety of wildlife species will be encountered such as blue monkeys, golden monkeys, Angola colobus, giant forest hogs to mention but a few which are all fascinating to watch. After you have located the gorilla family, get ready to enjoy the most breathtaking experience of up to an hour as you have a close sight on them as they enjoy themselves in their natural habitat. Return back to the hotel for relaxation, meals and an overnight.
After a hefty breakfast in the early morning, you will proceed to gorilla guardians’ village where you will have a relish of the Rwandan culture and a bit of her history. It’s at this cultural village that you will enjoy Rwandese traditional dances and songs as musical instruments are played for example agakenke, inanga, amakondera, ikembe and many more. Proceed back to the hotel for lunch, check-out and transfer to Kigali airport to catch your outbound flight.
