The 4 days of Mgahinga gorilla and Golden Monkey trekking safari will give you a chance to visit Mgahinga Gorilla National Park where you are able to trek endangered gorillas and golden monkey trekking. The tour starts and ends in Kampala / Entebbe city.

Arrival
Wake up early in the morning and have an early breakfast. You will be picked up by our experienced driver guide at your hotel. Then head onto the journey to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in south-western Uganda, taking about 9 to 10 hours.
Have some stopovers at the Equator crossing and proceed to Mbarara for lunch at any of your favourite restaurants. After lunch, continue with the journey through rolling hills of Ntungamo and Kabale, all leading to Kisoro district. Get to your hotel and have an overnight stay.
After an early morning breakfast, the driver will take you to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park headquarters to attend the pre-gorilla trekking briefing. This briefing will guide you on how to behave in the presence of gorillas.
With the help of an experienced guide, you will head into the forest to search for these primates. Mgahinga national park has only one habituated gorilla family known as Nyakagezi, once you get to encounter these apes, you are given one hour to be in their presence as you witness their behaviours and how they go about with their daily activities.
After gorilla trekking, head out for the special Batwa tour encounter who were the first inhabitants of the forest, you will get to learn and participate in their traditional dances as you sit down with elders who will tell you interesting stories.
Wake up early and have your breakfast, get ready because the driver will come and transport you from your hotel to the Mgahinga Gorilla park headquarters. You will be told how to behave while with these primates. An experienced guide will take you through the thick forest searching for golden monkeys. This activity can take about 2 hours depending on where the golden monkeys will be found. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Today is the end of your 4 days of Mgahinga gorilla and golden monkey trekking. Your driver will transfer you back to Kampala or to your desired destination.
